The Levine Presents 2012-2013 performances series is titled Patrons, Rivals Friends: Bringing Musical Scenes to Life.

Inspiration comes to an artist in various forms. Often it appears out of the necessity of pleasing a patron. Sometimes it comes from an exceptionally fertile period for artists when creative minds meet and inspire or challenge each other. Sometimes it’s driven by historical events either in reaction, protest or celebration. This season Levine will explore the many sources of artistic inspiration while recreating scenes in the history of artistic expression.

We hope you will join us for these concerts, master classes, lectures and special events - most of which are free of charge to Levine students.
