Contemporary Guitar

BFA Jazz & Contemplative Studies, BA Psychology, University of Michigan. Additional studies: Berklee School of Music, Boston. Studies with Ed Sarath, Ellen Rowe, Robert Hurst, Steven Carryer. Performances with Oliver Lake, Pauline Oliveros, Arthur Blythe, Ed Sarath as a member of the Creative Arts Orchestra at the University of Michigan. Performer/presenter at the 2006 - 2012 conferences for the International Society for Improvising Musicians. First recording a leader “Improvised Duets” released December 2009. Levine School of Music faculty member since September 2008 teaching private lessons and group classes in contemporary guitar styles to students of all ages and levels, including adults. Classes taught include Intro to Blues Guitar for Adults, Advanced Blues Guitar for Adults, Advanced Jazz Guitar Studio Class, Beginning Guitar Class 1 (youth), Levine Blues Jam Nights, and Rock Band Coaching. Active performer throughout the DC area in all contemporary guitar styles.
